Where we are

Five minutes from the sea,
forty from the Mani.

Kalamata is the working capital of Messinia — a port city of 70,000 with its own international airport. Our office is on a quiet side-street, two blocks back from the long seafront promenade.

Kalamata airport (KLX)

8 km · 12 min by car

Direct seasonal flights from London, Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Paris and a dozen other European cities. We pick up.

The Messinian seafront

600 m · 7 min on foot

Walk down Aristomenous to the harbour for an espresso. Most of our paddle days launch a short drive west of here.

The Mani peninsula

40 min south by car

Stoupa, Kardamyli, the stone villages of the Inner Mani. Many of our multi-day trips start from this office.

Athens · ATH

2 h 30 by motorway

Direct down the A7. Most international guests fly into Kalamata; some prefer to land in Athens and drive.

Inside the building

Three rooms, one operation.

01

A planning room.

A long oak table, paper maps of the Peloponnese on every wall, and a kettle that runs all day. Where every itinerary is sketched out by the guide who will run it.

02

A drying loft & workshop.

Wetsuits, drysuits, harnesses and ropes — washed, hung, inspected and logged after every trip. Bikes serviced in-house between groups; nothing leaves the building unchecked.

03

A welcome desk.

Where guests collect rental kit, get a 15-minute briefing on the day ahead, and — usually — accept a freddo espresso while they listen.

Discipline 01

Sea kayaking — 49 boats · 74 paddler seats.

A working fleet, replaced and rotated on a four-year cycle. Every boat is rigged for guided trips: deck lines, day hatches, towlines, deck-mounted compass. Most are singles; the Prijon Excursion EVO is our two-seat workhorse for mixed-ability groups.

The names on the kit

We pick the
boring, durable stuff.

We do not chase the new colourway. The brands below have been on our shelves for a decade or more — chosen because they survive a Greek summer, a rocky launch and 200 trips a year, and because their spare parts are easy to find on a Tuesday afternoon in Kalamata.
